Use PuTTY:From here use PuTTY to connect on the new server. This way we will be able to copy/paste commands directly. Connect as "root".

Find: Remove comment: (remove the #) Disable root access for SSH connections:
At line 38, find: Change it for: Restart the SSH service: Login as "username". Next, type in:
NTP (Network Time Protocol) installation and setup:
Edit NTP config file: At line 18, find "server 2.centos.pool.ntp.org" and add: Edit the other NTP config file: At the second line of that file: Change the line to add the -x option to force a NTPD time sync at boot: Restart the NTPD service: Ajust the system to automaticaly start this service at boot: Disable non-essentials services:
Ajust the total number of available (consoles) sessions:
At line 43, place a # before number 2 to 6: To apply changes: | |||
