Howto Configure NTP on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

NTP (Network Time Protocol) setup for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:
I do not know why, but the default time.windows.com NTP server provided by default by Microsoft on Windows XP and Windows server 2003, does not work.
If you do not change it, in event viewer you will get a:
Event ID: 29
Source: W32time
Type: Error
The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources. However, none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 15 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.
To fix this problem open a Command Prompt window and type:
pool.ntp.org is a cluster of many public NTP servers provided by Internet users and ISP's. You may find much more information at http://www.pool.ntp.org.
