How to allow an account to receive email for multiple addresses:

With Microsoft Exchange 2003, a user can receive emails at more than one addresses.

To add an addresse to a user acount:

  1. Connect to the server where Exchange is installed.



  2. Run "Active Directory Users and Computers".



  3. Select the user account to whitch you want to add the address.



  4. Open properties of this user account and click on "E-Mail Addresses" tab.
    Now, click on the "New" button.



  5. Select "SMTP Address" and click "OK".



  6. Type in the new email address to add to the account and click "OK".



  7. This account will now receive emails for the two addresses.



  8. The default smtp address, the one in bold font, will be the one used when the user sends out mail. To change it, select the proper account and click the "Set as Primary" button.
